I’m here
Taking that first step into therapy isn’t always easy. It takes courage and sometimes a little (or big) leap. That being said, I’m so glad you’re here!
Anxiety can manifest in many different ways, from the quiet belief that you’re not good enough to the overwhelming weight of trauma. Whether you’re battling self-doubt or facing the big “T” word, I’m here to offer compassion and support as we walk through the healing and processing journey together.
“Therapy isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about becoming more fully yourself.”

Techniques I Use
CBT
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps you recognize and acknowledge negative or unhelpful thoughts. With CBT, you can understand how your thoughts and emotions affect your moods, behaviors, and actions.
Mindfulness grounds you in your present moment. With this approach, we can become aware of our bodies and minds so that we can learn and recognize what we need in that moment. This offers us acknowledgment and trust in ourselves and our intuition so that we can honor our needs to move forward.
ACT
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is an action based approach. With ACT, you will learn to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with your inner emotions. This allows you to accept your deeper feelings as appropriate responses and begin taking steps towards the life you desire.
SFT
Solution Focused Therapy focuses on building solutions rather than solving concerns. Together we will identify if your behaviors are moving you towards your goals and authentic self. If they are, we will identify ways to continue them. If they are not moving you towards your goals, we will identify a different path to take.
Somatic Techniques
Somatic techniques explore the connection between your mind and body. Since trauma is often stored in our body through physical sensations, it can have a significant impact on our emotional and mental well-being. The goal of somatic therapy is to help you become more aware of your body sensations and use this awareness to process and release emotional trauma. Together we can regulate your emotions, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve their overall quality of life.

Real Words from a Real Client
I have to say before I begin; I have had many a therapist in my day. I’ve participated in a wide range of modalities. Every one left me feeling like I wasn’t getting anywhere. I was ready to give up, but I hit a rough patch and really needed help with my mental health.
I decided to try one last time. I reached out to Empowering Optimism Therapy on a whim, and they have not disappointed me.
Ms. Bost is the best therapist I have ever seen. She makes me feel like my goals truly are achievable. Every session I leave feeling better than when I came in. She is truly helping me change my life. I came in ready and willing to do the work, and with her help I’ve come so far.
Thank you, Empowering Optimism Therapy. Everything is in the name; I feel very Empowered and far more Optimistic than I had ever hoped to be.
